The UK Marriage Visitor Visa allows foreign nationals to enter the United Kingdom for the purpose of getting married or entering a civil partnership

This visa is strictly for a short-term visit and does not lead to settlement in the UK

It is suitable for couples who intend to marry or register a civil partnership in the UK and then leave the country

The visa is usually granted for up to six months

Holders of this visa cannot switch to another visa category from inside the UK

➤ The applicant must not intend to live in the UK through repeated visits

➤ The relationship must be genuine and ongoing

➤ The applicant must prove that both parties have met in person

Financial Requirement

➤ The applicant must show sufficient funds to cover

Important Notes

➤ The Marriage Visitor Visa does not allow switching to a Spouse Visa inside the UK

➤ After marriage, the applicant must leave the UK and apply from abroad if settlement is planned

➤ There is usually no right of appeal for refusals
